Assignment 6
Part 3: Questions
What are the advantages and disadvantages of sketching wireframes over wireframe software?
When sketching without software there are limited distractions and is in a sense more accessible. I mean accessible in the sense that pulling out a paper and pencil and jotting your ideas are an easier approach than finding the correct software. There are many nuances with digital such as having a device low on charge or properly housing files, with pen and paper you are able to just jot something down quickly. With distractions you are more likely to have all of your notifications appear when working on your sketch making it so the likelihood of getting distracted is higher. Though there are some pros such as actual accessibility features. While that sounds contradictory the actual features of duplicating objects and shortcuts can make it for a faster and an easier experience.
Write a paragraph on which type of wireframing style would work best with your project and why.
I'm going to start with a low-fidelity design since after participating in the colored hat assignment, I realized I was a little overzealous in what I wanted to achieve. I thought I was creating too many webpages, so instead I would like to use this as an opportunity to understand the scope of my website better. By using a low-fidelity approach I can look at what webpages I can combine to make the website seem less daunting to the user. I also tend to imagine and think about things in immense detail, keeping this in mind by using a low-fidelity approach it'll allow me to visually look at my idea from a different perspective.
